For 2010, Coconut Creek has been named the 48th Best Small City. A population of around 50,000, an abundance of trees, vegetation and of course, butterflies are just a few of the things that landed our town of this prestigious list.
The Creek, as many people refer to it, offers residents a near perfect mix of commercial and residential. Those who may not be lucky enough to live in Coconut Creek, but reside here from 9-5, without a doubt are accustomed to the “safe” feeling of our quaint little community. This is, as Boston so charismatically put it, “more than a feeling,” as personal and property crime incidents are fractions of a percentage.
It’s got smarts too. Our north Broward city, suburb of Fort Lauderdale, boasts combined English and math test scores at 13% above the average. Higher education has its place in this community too; there are 17 colleges, universities and professional schools within 30 miles of Coconut Creek.
Breathing easier is a way of life here, as 91% of days have an air quality index ranked “good”. If that doesn’t help you sleep better at night, maybe some tasty victuals at the over 3,600 restaurants within 15 miles would help?
